At first my bird was kicking around the bulk of this food's contents, but she eventually starting checking out the rest of it. She loves the tiny seeds of course, but actually took an interest in the bigger seeds and miscellaneous pieces. She's been picking through the bowl, trying different things. She actually gets excited when I get her out of her cage to hang out because I have a bowl of this next to her playground. She goes straight to it and picks through it before going over to her perch. It's very colorful and my picky parakeet loves it!
At first glance, this parakeet food looks similar to many other products in the same category. However, once I opened the package and handled the food directly, the overall material and ingredient quality felt noticeably better than expected.
The mix has a natural look and smell, with no odd or artificial odor. Out of curiosity, I even tasted a small amount myself, and it had a mild, natural grain-like flavor with no unpleasant aftertaste. Based on that experience, I felt comfortable offering it to my ringneck parakeet. He showed immediate interest in the new food and began exploring it right away.
The resealable packaging is well designed and helps keep the food fresh after opening, which is important for maintaining quality over time. One thing to be aware of is that there is a small desiccant packet inside the bag. Be sure to remove it carefully and avoid accidentally pouring it into the food dish, as it should not be ingested by pets.
We love the curiosity…but we don't recommend snacking on your parrot’s food. 😂 And thank you for mentioning the desiccant packet—it should remain in the bag for freshness but it should not go in your bird’s bowl.
My parrotlet Chicken loves this food! He was very interested in it from the beginning. I always try to keep my little guy as healthy as possible and having this option for his food was great!
Noah loves beakology on our first try! Thank you for making a healthy option for our feathered friends!
I didn't expect for my product to ship so fast. I love supporting small businesses and my conure duo love it.
It’s a good mix... my keet does what birds do and leave a few things behind ....still buying again because she eats most of it and I like the organics.
Honestly, I don’t have time to prep fancy meals for my bird every day. This food makes me feel like I’m still doing something right by my 4 parakeets without any guilt. They dive right in, especially when I mix in a few blueberries. It’s easy, healthy, and they're clearly into it.
